Organizing Child’s Bedroom

This client had a child’s bedroom that was a problem area. We discussed the stages of organizing the area and scheduled a time for me to come over and work with her daughter. It was a rewarding project, and the mother appreciated that her daughter and I worked well together. She said they would have killed each other by the end of the day.

We started by pulling everything out of the room, using inexpensive laundry baskets – clothes, toys, school papers, trophies, stuffed animals, shoes, etc.

We sorted the stuff into keep, toss, and sell. We also had a “mom” box, items that she didn’t want anymore, but we’d let Mom decide what to do with those items.

It was important to the daughter to rearrange the furniture, so we vacuumed, dusted, and washed the mirrors and windows. Once everything was clean, we placed the furniture in a new fun arrangement. The daughter was so excited!
