Google Docs -> Google Drive

If you have a need to work together as a team and collaborate, I would suggest using Google Documents, or Google Docs for short.

You can login using a gmail account, and it’s easy to setup if you don’t have an account yet.

I recommend this software because you can:

  • Create & collaborate
  • See what each person is entering as they type it
  • Your documents are stored online and not lost
  • It’s very easy to use, you can create documents, spreadsheets, presentations
  • You can get to your work from your computer, mobile device, or laptop
  • You can upload photos from your computer, mobile device, or laptop
  • You can send a link out to the team for review and editing
  • Your files are secure and only visible if you share them with a team
  • It’s easy to share, with one click, enter their email address
  • You can see a revision history of your documents, plus you can revert back to an older copy
  • You can search your documents
  • In the new Google Drive*, you can launch a variety of apps too

* There’s a message on Google Docs that says it will be changed to Google Drive soon. You can elect to switch to Google Drive from Google Docs. It says that 5 GB of storage is free. Looks like you must use Google Chrome (Google’s browser).
