Cricut Gypsy

Posted on 16. Feb, 2012 by in Create

I recently had a problem with my Gypsy from Provo Craft.  I had just used it for a weekend crop in January and it worked fine.  I tried to load a few new cartridges and got the error message that the Gypsy could not read the cartridges, and it was odd that it couldn’t read all of them.  So I did an update thinking that the Gypsy needed new software to read these new cartridges. Organize your Craft Room

Posted on 09. Feb, 2012 by in Create, Organize

Sometimes it can be so overwhelming to organize your craft room.  Stuff can be everywhere, sometimes it’s still in the bag from the store.  I tell folks, if you have a place for everything, you can quickly put those new purchases away!

  • Starting – You look at the piles, shelves, and boxes and think “where do I start”? Getting started is the hardest step, so pick one corner to start in, then work your way around the room!  Once you dive in, things will start to fall into place and your clutter will be conquered! Read More…

Craft Room Organization

Why be organized in your craft room?!

  • Save time – You only have so much time to enjoy your crafting, so you don’t want to waste time searching for your items.
  • Save money – You can save money when you can find the right color paper or those embellishments that you previously bought for the project, and avoid re-purchases.
  • Save energy – Avoid the stress of trying to find something while working on a project. Having everything in it’s place can make you feel at peace and ready to create!
  • Save memories – Every scrapbooker wants to feel organized and productive as you create a legacy for your family.

  1. You will need a good pair of scissors for cutting small items.  I recommend a Fiskars pair that is coated to keep from getting sticky.
  2. A paper trimmer ($20).   I recommend getting one at Michael’s or JoAnn’s with your 40% off coupon.
  3. Tape runner for gluing down your pictures ($5).  We have been using Tombo Adhesives and order refills in bulk for around $2.50. Read More…

Here’s a few steps to help get you started …

  • Gather all the photos from all over the house and bring together in one place.  It should be a warm and dry area — away from food & drink and kids & pets.  You may also want to get old family photos from parents to make copies. Read More…
